Get the word out about USNF events!

Regular meetings? Special events? Let other USNF members know. Here's how.

Let's talk to each other! In other words, how to get more support for your event.

There are regular open activities at the Society and many one-time events that some members don't know about--but very much might like that take part in. We need to communicate more about the goings-on at the Society. The Communications Committee is asking members and friends involved in one-time or ongoing activities that are open to others to share the news in a variety of ways: on our Facebook group, in the Sunday Times, in the Pioneer, and also in prime real estate on the USNF website.

There are several, very simple ways to get your news out.

  • Submit online to the Sunday Times, the Pioneer, or the bulletin board (located in the side foyer of the Unitarian Society building).
To find this link in the future, look for "Submit a News Item" on the left side of the home page.
  • Email notices for the Sunday Times to the office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Email notices and flyers for the bulletin board to the office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Email news and articles for the Pioneer at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Post on the USNF Facebook group Not sure how to post to Facebook? Send Cathy Lilly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. the information you'd like to have posted to Facebook. Facebook trainings may be coming in the near future, if there is interest.
  • Add it to your committee or group's web page on the USNF website. Some are listed on the USNF Committees page, while others are on the USNF Groups & Activities page.

And finally: While you are thinking about it, please help us make sure our website is up to date. If you are on a committee/group, check your committee/group's web page regularly to make sure it is correct. Here are some specific things to check for your group:

  • the stated purpose
  • membership information (including how to join)
  • contact inforamtion
  • current meetings and activities
  • recent highlights of committee/group activities (optional)

If it needs updating or changing in any way, please email the web committee at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Web committee members will be happy to make the necessary changes.
