Following is a "How-to" guide for submitting news and information about Society-related events.

Subscribe to the Pioneer newsletter or the Sunday Times weekly announcement bulletin:

  • On the USNF website homepage, go to the subscribe box located in the upper right hand area just under the Search box to enter your email and join our mailing list.
  • If you attend Sunday morning worship services, you may fill out a blue card asking to be put on the mailing list.

Using our Building:

If you are interested in using our building for an event, please read the information in the Planning Events and Using Our Building section. When you're ready, you can submit a Building Use Form.

The Pioneer:

The Pioneer is the monthly newsletter of USNF.  It contains articles related to the life of the Society, including committee work, events and activities.

Submitting an article or news item to the Pioneer:

  • Article should be a Microsoft Word document, submitted as an email attachment to the editor at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Article should be not more than 350 words long, formatted in Times New Roman 12 pt.
  • Brief news items for the “Bulletin Board” section of the Pioneer may be submitted by completing and submitting the News Item Submission Form at the link below.
  • Deadline for submission is the third Thursday of each month at 12 noon, for publication on the fourth Thursday of the month.
  • Submitted items must be related to the Society.

The Sunday Times:

The Sunday Times (ST) is the weekly announcement bulletin of USNF.  It is made available to members and subscribing friends by email, and is an attachment to the Order of Meeting at the Sunday morning worship service.  The ST contains brief, time-sensitive announcements.

Submitting a news item to the ST:

  • Complete and submit News Item Submission Form at the link below, OR send an email to the Society office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Item should be not more than 25 words in length.
  • Item should concern an event related to congregational life at USNF.
  • Deadline for submission is each Thursday at noon for the following Sunday.

Bulletin Board:

Our bulletin board, located inside the entryway at the side of the building, is available for printed announcements of news and events of interest to the USNF community.  To submit an announcement to the bulletin board, please complete and submit the News Item Submission Form below.

Facebook:

USNF has both a Facebook page and a Facebook group.

  • The USNF Facebook page is visible to all and is updated regularly with news of the Society. If you "like" the page, you will see our news in your news feed. Otherwise, you can visit the page to see updates.
  • The USNF Facebook Group is a public group that you are welcome to join. Members of the group can post information about events and have discussions in the group.
