Directions

The Unitarian Society is located at 220 Main St. in Northampton, right next to City Hall. [View location on Google Maps] The main entrance is through the double doors at the front of the building. The accessible entrance is on the right side of the building, near the back.

Parking

The Unitarian Society does not have its own parking lot. However, there are several options for parking near our location in downtown Northampton. On-street parking and parking in city lots (except the parking garage) is free on Sundays. When there is a charge for parking, it can be paid using the ParkMobile app, except in the parking garage.

On-street parking: Although usually scarce, there may sometimes be open parking spaces on Main St. or on the side streets off Main St.

Parking garage: Northampton has a large parking garage behind Thorne’s Marketplace, between Old South St. and Pleasant St. The entrance to the garage is accessed from Pleasant St. or Hampton Ave. The first hour in the garage is free.

Parking lots: There are three large city-owned parking lots near Main St. The lot closest to the Unitarian Society is behind our building. From our building, head east on Main St. and turn right on Crafts Ave. right after City Hall. Then turn right on Old South St. and turn into the first drive on your right.  Go up the stairs or the accessible ramp and follow the sidewalk to the right. Our building is the second building on the left.  A second parking lot is to the left on Old South St. and a third can be found next to the parking garage.

There are a few accessible parking spaces in a small municipal parking lot along the side of our building nearest to Northampton City Hall. To reach it, turn onto Mayor Sean Dunphy Way, a driveway off Main Street between City Hall and USNF. Because the lot is small, we encourage people who need the accessible parking to arrive 15 minutes before Sunday services in order to secure a space, and we ask others to avoid parking there.
