Stewardship means responsible caring – for our congregation and for each other. Our Stewardship team focuses on community-building and on making sure we have the financial resources we need. We depend almost entirely on the generosity of our congregation for funding. We ask all members and friends to make annual financial commitments. Weekly plate collections also make a difference. We allocate 50% of our Sunday collections to organizations or causes in the greater community that are selected based on nominations from members. And we sell supermarket gift cards, which you can use for the full value you pay for them at three local markets. The Society receives a percentage of the value of each card.

Gatherings

In 2017 the Stewardship Committee began a tradition of organizing annual gatherings of the Society in people’s homes. More recently we have held an all congregation gathering in the fall at the Arcadia Audubon sanctuary. We share a communal meal and then divide people into small groups for their thoughts and feelings on a chosen topic. This is a popular event and a wonderful way to meet people and get to know them more deeply.

Annual Stewardship Giving Campaign

We depend almost entirely upon the generosity of our congregation for funding. Pledges by members and friends during the annual stewardship campaign or upon making a commitment to the Society are the major source of our support.
