Although Sunday morning worship is the focal point for our community’s activities, much of what we dogroup pic takes place outside the worship service. During this time of COVID-19, we continue to meet together to connect, support each other, and serve over Zoom.

Our many active committees keep the Society functioning smoothly, and there are numerous groups and events that bind the community together.

From the Adult Education Program to the Choir to teaching in the Religious Education Program for Children and Youth to joining Small Group Circles, there are many ways to get involved and get to know other members of the congregation.  We also have a close relationship with our partner church in Homoródkarácsonyfalva, Transylvania (Romania), with an active Partner Church Committee that keeps those ties strong.

There are many opportunities for social action. For the past year, we have been hard at work to get out the vote. You can join the Climate Action Group or the Racial Justice Team.  During COVID, we are contributing a meal to Cathedral in the Night most months. When we are in person, there are service opportunities like cooking together for the Grove Street Inn and Cot Shelter. The Pastoral Care Committee serves the congregation by providing assistance to those of our members and friends who are in need during times of crisis or illness. The USNF Community Cares Network links healthy, low risk volunteers with others to do grocery shopping and other errands.
