We depend almost entirely upon the generosity of our congregation for funding.  Contributions pay our staff, provide religious education, maintain our building, and meet program expenses.  Pledges by members and friends during the annual stewardship campaign or upon making a commitment to the Society are the major source of our support.

The 2020 annual giving campaign will begin on February 2, and is organized by the Stewardship Committee.  Please come and join us on this special Sunday.  Click here to go to the 2020 Campaign page.

We vary in our capacity to support the Society financially.  All are asked to give as generously as possible, consistent with their ability and commitment.  For some assistance in deciding your share, go to the Pledge Guide.

Options for paying your pledge:

  • Pay your pledge at your own pace by sending a check through the mail.
  • Place a check in the offering plate on Sunday.
  • Sign up for automatic payments from your bank account.  Contact our office (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for details.

Checks should be made out to "Unitarian Society of Northampton and Florence" or "USNF."  On the memo line, please write "Pledge" and the fiscal year of the pledge you are paying.

Pledge forms and checks can be mailed to:

USNF, 220 Main St., Northampton, MA 01060

Plate collections

Weekly plate collections taken during the worship service also contribute to the work we do.  At least once a month, we allocate all or a portion of the plate collection to an organization or cause to benefit the greater community.

Grocery Scrip – contribute painlessly when you buy groceries

If you shop at the Big Y, Stop and Shop, or River Valley Market, you can buy special gift cards (scrip) here at the Society.  You spend the same amount of money but the stores donate a percentage of their income to the Society.  Help financially support the Society without spending any extra money.  You can buy scrip on Sunday mornings after each service or during the week through the office.
