Opportunities to Receive Assistance with Food
Northampton Survival Center:
We are pleased to announce that we have new food distribution sites starting Monday, April 6th across Northampton.  Food will be available for all Northampton Survival Center clients and eligible new clients experiencing food insecurity.  

Northampton Public Schools:  Free meals to children 18 and younger at 4 sites throughout Northampton, Florence and Leeds.  Click the link for details for each location.

Volunteer Opportunities
Northampton Survival Center:  Healthy willing volunteers can contact the Survival Center to offer assistance with distributions.  Additionally financial contributions are critical to making it possible for the Survival Center to meet the increased demand for their services.

Highland Valley Elder Services:  Assistance is needed with meal distribution and delivery for seniors in our community

Manna, the soup kitchen in Northampton, is looking for volunteers to help distribute to go meals. 

Cathedral in the Night:  Cathedral is in need of funds to keep their meals going and for care packages. 

Emergency Shelter at Northampton High School.  Volunteers are needed to work six- to eight-hour shifts in support of ServiceNet staff. Donations are also needed to support the shelter.

The Massachusetts Medical Reserve Corps will be offering assistance and needs volunteers with medical backgrounds as well as those without medical backgrounds.  Learn more and consider signing up to volunteer.  (Volunteer opportunity is recommended for adults under 60 with no underlying health concerns)

  • The Daily Hampshire Gazette is offering its local coverage of COVID-19 without a paywall so that we can all access local news. (If you're financially able to subscribe, know that the cost of your subscription will contribute to the Gazette's ability to provide this important community service)
  • Status updates from the local business community, including changes to hours, closures, and means for supporting each business.
